WELCOME THE FACES OF YOUR FUTURE

The Rural Experience learning program invites year 10-12 metropolitan students to spend a week in a rural community like yours, experiencing life there and discovering the diverse career and lifestyle opportunities in regional Australia.

The idea is that many of these smart young minds will return with their fresh ideas and enthusiasm to help contribute to rural and remote areas, many of which have suffered population decline and other challenging circumstances.

For your community, the students’ presence for the week can also help build optimism and give local people and businesses a chance to share their experience, skills and challenges.

If you are part of an organisation in a rural town that would like to organise a future week’s program in your area, please contact us to find out more.

‘It was a pleasure to chat to the students … and [they] clearly got a lot out of it’

‘it’s a great initiative and will definitely support it next year’ 2016 host participant
