IT’S A WIN-WIN WHEN SKILLS ARE SHARED

Our rural and outback regions have always been an iconic part of Australia and a place for adventure, independence and ingenuity.

Sadly, over recent years our rural population has declined as more people have chosen a life in the city. It’s hard to blame them when bad droughts have affected not just rural agricultural businesses but all the other local businesses that rely on a healthy local economy.

Yet Australia cannot afford to let its rural areas and industries die. Our food bowls are mostly west of the Great Divide and there is still so much potential for these areas to lead the way with modern agriculture, cutting-edge technology, sustainable energy, remote health care and tourism.

Young people graduating in our cities have so much to offer rural areas and, in return, rural areas have so much to offer them. Think cheap housing, no traffic congestion, warm communities, unique life experiences and interesting careers for a start!

You’ll never know unless you go!  The Rural Experience is the ideal opportunity to see if you might be attracted to a few years – or a whole future – in our rural or remote heartlands.
